You are responsible for arranging and maintaining a reliable e-mail account at Bradley University and checking your e-mail daily. On campus students must also establish a BlackBoard account. Some class announcements, homework solution tips and homework grades will be posted only on BlackBoard or only distributed by e-mail. Replies to your e-mail, in general, will go to the return address specified in your message. In no case instructor is responsible for not received e-mail due to full mailbox error or your choice of forwarding it to an off-campus location. Bradley University cannot guarantee privacy of email that is by your choice sent or forwarded to an off-campus location.
In general, mailboxes have certain maximum capacity that can be reached easily if you do not download your messages off the server. In no case instructor is responsible for you not receiving e-mail due to full mailbox error.
There will be about 12 assignments or small projects. Each assignment may consist of several smaller problems or exercises to perform. Assignments will be posted on the course web site and mentioned in the class. Keep your homework until the final grade is posted.
When submitting your homework by e-mail please use the message subject announced for that particular homework. The submission time is determined be the received field in the instructor's mailbox. (i.e. Peoria, IL time.) Homework may be graded after a few days. Because of that do not e-mail questions about lectures or assignments using the subject line requested for the homework submission.
Homework to be submitted by e-mail: submitted later than at midnight at the end of the day it is due will be penalized 5-10% per each day until 50% is reached. No late homework is accepted after the corresponding exam, or on or after the study day.
Homework to be submitted on paper: submitted after graded work is returned to class is penalized by taking 50% off. No late homework is accepted after the last day of classes or after corresponding exam.
Solutions to some homework problems may be posted. If so, no late submission of these problems will be accepted afterwards.
Note: If the course is offered soleley via recorded lectures and self study homework per individual arrangements made at the beginning of the semester may or may not be graded.
There will be four in class exams including a final exam. All exams will include material you are responsible for learning in class, from textbook, WWW reading and from the homework assignments. The exams are open books, open notes but no access to electronic media or equipment in any form (including calculators and cell phones).

Your final grade: A, B, C, D and F will be determined by your total amount of points earned during the course using: 90%, 80%, 70% and 60*% limits. Improvement in work and submission of all homework assignments will be used to determine the borderline cases. You can check your progress in building your grade on-line using GradeWatch at any time.
