Create a so called splash web page. The page should display some kind of greeting to the web surfer, and then transfer him or her to another page of your own choice. In addition the page should not leave people with older web browser incapable of executing whatever you do to go to the next page helpless.
Create a web page for your CV resume. Utilize hidden
tables for the graphical layout. To show your proficiency use either at
least two embeded tables or create one table with either COLSPAN or
ROWSPAN. Do not use frames. The page should have additional support for
search engines in the form of ABSTRACT and KEYWORDS
DESCRIPTION meta tags. You may use special web page editors for the
task. Just make sure that all necessary HTML elements are present and
use correctly. (Some editors may create errorous pages.)
To get maximum credit your resume page also has to pass a HTML validation test. For this assignment this validation tool will be used.
Attach all source code in files with proper names and extensions (*.html, *.java, *.pl, *.php, .htaccess e.t.c.). Do not ZIP files together or include compiled files (e.g. *.class). In case of dynamic Web pages (JavaScript or CGI) or Java applets also send the complete URL (including http://) that points to a page on your Web site that demonstrates your homework. Send your homework via e-mail to the instructor. Please set the message subject to: web-hw1.
Thank you.
