Program 1, 15pts.

Write a PERL program which reads the date in one of the following formats and validate it using only one single regular expressin formula for each format. Print the date using the format oposite to one which was used for input.

• Month, dD, YYYY, where Month is entered by its name, year is always four digit number, and there may be any number of white space after each coma. Validate the number of days for each month.
• mM/dD/YYYYwhere MM and DD may be one or two digit numebrs representing valid months and number of days for that month. Validate the number of days for each month.

Please nothe that the regular expression formulas may be long and complicated. Inspect the similar example about validating time that is posted on the web page with sample programs.

Program 2, 15pts.

Write a program in PERL which would print the directory structure of the specified hard drive or its directory. Your program should accept two command line parameters - the directory or drive letter to start from, and the number of levels deep to go. If the second parameter is not specified go all the way to the most nested folder. The directories should be listed alphabetically. Add four space indentation for each next level.

Hints:

• Use recursive approach, call a function with three parameters: the folder to start the directory search with, the current level how many directories deep you are, and how many directories deep more to go.
• In your function read the contents of the directory into an array, eliminate the oridinary files, and sort the array.
• For each array entry print it with proper indentation and then call the function once again with the new directory specified as the current directory plus "/" plus the subdirectory name, increase the directory level by one, and decrese the directory level to go by one.
• If the directory level to go reaches zero print the sorted directories and do not go into them. Use -1 or undef to specify no limit how deep to go.
• Since you are using the recursion make sure that appropriete variables are truly local (specified as my, not as local!)
