EE-WEB Assignment 2

Dynamic Web Page 1, 10pts.

Consider the Web page with your weekly schedule that you have created last week. Add a dynamic functionality to that page so that the column for the current day of the week is of different color than others. If you like you can go further, and customize the coloring or text by hour. Your Web page does not have to change its contents with time after it is already displayed. Use JavaScript for dynamic HTML.

Dynamic Program 2, 10pts.

Create a frame set with at least two different frames. If someone loads only one frame into a separate window then reload the content of that window with the whole frame set. Hint: Use JavaScript and check _top.window.document.location and _self.window.document.location or other variables of close names.

When submitting this homework provide the URL to the frame set and another one to the "protercted" frame.

Dynamic Web Page 3, 10pts.

Create a pop-up window that pops up after you have stayed on the Web page for one minute. If someone closes that pop-up window then load the Bradley Web site to the main window.

Please note: the pop-up window must be a real window that displays a Web page as in the example that we discussed in class. It must not be made by creating a dialog box using a function such as for example Alert().

Homework Submission

Attach all source code in files with proper names and extensions (*.html, *.java, *.pl, *.php, .htaccess e.t.c.). Do not ZIP files together or include compiled files (e.g. *.class). In case of dynamic Web pages (JavaScript or CGI) or Java applets also send the complete URL (including http://) that points to a page on your Web site that demonstrates your homework. Send your homework via e-mail to the instructor. Please set the message subject to: web-hw2.

Thank you.
