Write a program that can run both as an applet and an application. The program should allow user to enter the host name, the user name, and a password using text fields. Then after clicking the "check" button the program should print the number of e-mail messages waiting imn the user's mailbox. In case of an error the program should print an error message. Sample erros include: "cannot connect" and "login failed". The number of messages or the error should be printed using a label. Use POP3 protocol (port 110).
Please note that in case of an applet you will be able only to check email account that is located on the same computer that has your applet posted on the Web page.
Attach all source code in files with proper names and extensions (*.html, *.java, *.pl, *.php, .htaccess e.t.c.). Do not ZIP files together or include compiled files (e.g. *.class). In case of dynamic Web pages (JavaScript or CGI) or Java applets also send the complete URL (including http://) that points to a page on your Web site that demonstrates your homework.
