Please use your University main e-mail address as your User ID. That will by your NetBUId@bradley.edu. When you use the system for the first time you most likely do not know your password. Dr. Malinowski requested it to be sent to you but that email does not come from him, or the university or even not directly from Microsoft. Most students get it before the first day of classes and delete it. So you have to use forgot my password.
If your account is active you should receive the confirmation on the Web that the password has been sent. It should come from msdnaa_software at e-academy dot com within minutes. Otherwise, check your spam filtering software. If the Web page says that the User ID is invalid then please check if you qualify for MSDNAA in ECE Department. If so, then contact Dr. Malinowski by email.
If you have problems with adding software to your "cart" please contact Mr. Fattore.
If you downlaoded a loader program (several hundred kilobytes in size) and run it. It should download the whatever unit it was supposed to download. In some cases it is the whole software apckages, in others it is a folder that contians contents of one CD, or an ISO image to be recorded on a CD-R.
If the loader program has a problem it displays an error code. Please write it down and provide to Mr. Fattore together with your User ID when you ask for help. In many cases you should be able to figure out what is wrong based on the error code provided that you know what they mean. The following list is subject to change. Dr. Malinowski might nto update it immediately when MSDNAA chooses tochange it. So for the most current version you should rather go to their Web site.
Unable to find the source CD (expecting to find a SDC file on a local CD).
A general error that is typically caused by:
(a) insufficient disk space to unpack or
(b) a disk error

(b) unable to read from CD (for a secure CD based install)
Please note that this is a network connection error only.

(b) no Internet connection found
(c) Internet connection lost
(d) a firewall or proxy server between the client station and hosting location, or
(e) insufficient disk space to download

(a) an incomplete transfer
(b) a corruption during transfer or
(c) a corrupt package on the host server
Install limit has been reached, which is typically caused by:
(a) the customer having attempted to download a product too many times to different folders (it is possible that no downloads have been successful)
(b) the customer having already successfully downloaded/installed the software, and now wanting to download again
Parameter authorization failure, which typically means that:
(a) no hosting location has been provided on the system for the product or
(b) the delivery client is corrupt (delete and download again).
Dr. Malinowski arranged for you to get this software for free (free to you, Department pays in some way for it according to our arrangements with Microsoft). However, he has no time or resources to provide assistance with its installation. (Average installation of Visual Studio .NET takes about 90 minutes if nothing goes wrong.) You can try the Technology Help Desk and ask for a person who is an EE student. She or he might do you a favor and help you. However, it is not in their job description. Otherwise, try your peer network of fellow EE students, or hire a "consultant" as a last reesort.
OK, I have read it. Now I want to go back to the main instruction page or directly to the MSDNAA front page.
